The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
A Solvable Conflict?
International Implications
Why is this conflict an international problem?
The issue should be considered an international problem because it all started with international immigration into the region. After World War 2, the international community decided that the Jewish population needed a homeland, so they allowed Jews from all different countries to immigrate into the area that is now Palestine and Israel. These actions have created a disagreement between many nations, as the problem has drawn in input from around the world. Because the international community caused the problem to begin with, it is our responsibility to find a solution for it. On top of all this, it is an international problem simply because it is an issue between two different nations, Israel and Palestine.

Many countries have tried to find a resolution to this issue. The United Nations has also tried to find a solution to the conflict. Almost every country has weighed in on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some major countries have taken opposing sides in the issue. This has resulted in major world powers indirectly opposing each other via the conflict. Much of the Muslim world, including most Muslim-majority countries, support Palestine's side in the issue. The United States, on the other hand, has supported Israel's side of the issue. This, obviously, creates divisions between America and many important countries, such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
